Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for large breed puppy's Been feeding this product since the day I got my GSD puppy. I have given it now two weeks and still no improvement with his stools. I would also like to point out with research of this product the calcium level is not provided?? Being a so-called quality food why is this not mentioned? From what I have noticed in my puppy he has grown a ridiculous amount! NOT a good thing!! Also on other forums where I have been doing my research about this particular TOTW puppy formula GSD breeders despise this food because of what I have mentioned above. Avoid product, because a puppy needs to grow with time and with the right nutrition that meets there puppy needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chicken Free!!!! Our Goldendoodle is allergic to chicken. I wish I knew about this product before spending several hundred dollars trying out other foods. Mr. Picky Paws loves it! He devours his food. His stomach and digestive tract are happy. No more late night crate cleaning and bathing due to accidents. He is a much happier puppy. He has a lot more energy and is much more playful...especially since his allergic scratching is gone. One drawback, Mr. Picky Paws does burp more but the positives far outweigh the one negative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog had a allergic reaction I got the food for my German shepherd puppy which she loved the taste but I walked away from her while she was eating and my older dog had snatched the little bit left she had left. I separated them and gave the pup more food and I didn’t think anything of it. I put them up for the night and went to bed, the next morning I went to let them outside my older dog kept leaning her head to one side and when I looked closer her whole face was swollen, she was squinting and could barely see. Terrified her throat would swell I immediately gave her some Benadryl. The swelling didn’t go away for a few hours but it did work. I did like that my puppy enjoyed the food; however, I can’t keep the food in my house knowing that my older dog is allergic and I don’t want to risk her getting into it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PITBULL PUPPY AND MOMMY APPROVED! We got a 2 months old pit bull puppy who was on merrick puppy formula when we got him, but that food was very expensive. We didn't think we'd be able to find another puppy formula we trusted and had the same quality of merrick and at a better price. But then we found taste of wild, we fell in love and so did our puppy! His growth is very healthy on this taste of wild diet and his energy levels are perfect. We LOVE it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TOTW exceeds my expectations! I transitioned to TOTW High Prairie puppy from another less quality brand immediately when I picked up my Husky pup at 10wks of age. She's now 1yr2mo and still loves the High Prairie. Couldn't be happier with how soft and shiny her coat is which I believe is from Omegas. The entire ingredient and nutrients lists exceed many other brands I've compared to. Will be a lifelong consumer of TOTW!!! Althea thanks you too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Boxer loves it We transitioned our Boxer from Blue to Taste of the Wild. We thought at first we had a picky eater while he was eating Blue. Once he started with TOTW, he started finishing his servings, and now can’t get enough. Buster’s coat is so healthy and shiny. Every time we take him out in public we get lots of comments on how gorgeous he is. I tell everyone about this wonderful food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it My names Kota and I'm a 20 week old black lab/shepard mix...I have been on TOTW Puppy Prairie blend since 6 weeks...my human is going to be increasing my intake to 1 1/2 cups twice a day starting in a couple days. But I like it sooo much that my human gad to buy a special food bowl to slow me down from eating so fast....

What are the advantages and disadvantages to keeping your 12 mo dog on the puppy formula instead of switching to the adult? I know the main dif.  between the two is the protein amount, but I don't really know what that means practically speaking.

I have a Lab puppy (8 weeks old) and I've switched him to TOTW High Prairie Puppy Formula. My vet told me I need a food specifically for large breed puppies due to their growth. Will this formula fit his needs?

Asked by: Loccdogg

What is the calcium content of your food? I took my Belgian Malinois to the vet for the first time yesterday, and he stressed the importance of getting a "large breed" puppy food. You folks don't make that.

Asked by: KhalsDad

So you don't have a calcium percentage on the bag I need to know what that is as my puppy has bad hips and need to feed him a high calcium food maybe you have a product with extra calcium

What is the calcium level in your high prarie puppy kibble?

Asked by: Elise

I received my samples of food and very much appreciated it. However, I wonder if it is recommended or acceptable to give an 8 month old GSD pup an adult flavor/formula. She’s a truly fussy eater and it’s been a struggle.
